Routing in Optical Networks

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has any information about this relatively new and emerging technology because I would like to know more about it. If you could point me in the right direction in terms of research papers discussing or developing it that would be a bonus

Thanks in advance

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

JoeClark,

Optical networks typically have some sort of routing for the optical service channel, ie node to node reachability for the NMS systems. Somehow, I don't think that is what you are asking about. More recently, optical interfaces (I'm assuming we're talking DWDM here) have been integrated into routing and switching platforms. This is a convergence of layers in a way and the following research paper gives a high level outline of IP+Optical.

Wavelength routing is a thing as well.

Depending on which topic of these technologies you're interested in, I could point you to different places. Just post up if I missed the mark on what you were asking.
