can sdn controller be used with cumulus linux?

For software defined networking, i need to manage multiple switches using sdn controller and separate its data plane and control plane. Is it available in the cumulus-vx?

Cumulus Networks does not make a controller but any controller that can program the Linux kernel or has an agent or application that can run on Linux would work with Cumulus Linux.
Hi Pete, will openflow work ? Can you give me some reference on how to do it?

We do not support OpenFlow today. Unfortunately we do not currently have any guides on using custom built SDN controllers

You could use ovsdb to make a controller - https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7047

This is the most important issue we got from many of customers 😞
Not sure if you're looking to use NSX but here's an example of NSX with Cumulus VX: https://community.cumulusnetworks.com/cumulus/topics/integrating-cumulus-vx-with-vmware-nsx-using-vm...
