How do I ping an IP address from a specific local IP address on my Cumulus Linux switch?

use the ping -I (capital I) command! Like this->
cumulus@leaf1$ ping 10.1.10.2 -I 10.1.10.1  PING 10.1.10.2 (10.1.10.2) from 10.1.10.1 : 56(84) bytes of data.  64 bytes from 10.1.10.2: icmp_req=2 ttl=64 time=0.477 ms  64 bytes from 10.1.10.2: icmp_req=4 ttl=64 time=0.554 ms    
This above means ping the address 10.1.10.2 from the source address of 10.1.10.1
