Transparent frame pass with unknown ethertype

Userlevel 1
I got a question - whether it is possible to transparently pass a frame between two ports with unknown ethertype?
Usecase is the following: there's some amount of Cisco TrustSec traffic in the network (with their custom ethertype), and, as we don't directly support handling this traffic - would it be possible to just transparently switch it?

If we don't have any clue what the ethertype is, I would think it would just be generic L2 at that point.... MAC switching... Is that not what you're seeing?

You are right. I asked question just in case there is some known limitation for this scenario - like, maybe, the chipset logic checks ethertype, and, if it's unknown - drop it.
