The first partition is the GPT partition where grub lives. Depending on the total flash size of the switch, it *should* be a rather small percentage. Here is what it looks like on a Penguin Arctica 3200XLP, and the GPT is only 2 MB:

root@sw11:~# lsblk
sda 8:0 0 14.9G 0 disk
|-sda1 8:1 0 2M 0 part
|-sda2 8:2 0 128M 0 part
|-sda3 8:3 0 256M 0 part /boot
'-sda4 8:4 0 14.5G 0 part
|-CUMULUS-PERSIST (dm-0) 253:0 0 16M 0 lvm /mnt/persist
|-CUMULUS-SYSROOT2 (dm-1) 253:1 0 3G 0 lvm
'-CUMULUS-SYSROOT1 (dm-2) 253:2 0 3G 0 lvm /

root@sw11:~# gdisk -l /dev/sda GPT fdisk (gdisk) version 0.8.5
Partition table scan:
MBR: protective
BSD: not present
APM: not present
GPT: present
Found valid GPT with protective MBR; using GPT.

First usable sector is 34, last usable sector is 31277198
Partitions will be aligned on 2048-sector boundaries

I mis calc the size, thanks for the explanation.
