autoneg in Cumulus VX

I have noticed that I can't use autoneg property in Cumulus VX. I have submit "net add bridge bridge ports swp1-2", then "net add interface swp1-2 link autoneg on". After "net com" there isn't any result in "sudo ethtool swp2". It's expected behaviour for virtual box or not? Is any way to enforce supporting it?

code:
cumulus@cumulus:~$ sudo ethtool swp2
Settings for swp2:
Supported ports: [ ]
Supported link modes: Not reported
Supported pause frame use: No
Supports auto-negotiation: No
Supported FEC modes: Not reported
Advertised link modes: Not reported
Advertised pause frame use: No
Advertised auto-negotiation: No
Advertised FEC modes: Not reported
Speed: 10Mb/s
Duplex: Full
Port: Other
PHYAD: 0
Transceiver: internal
Auto-negotiation: off
Link detected: yes

autonegotiation is rather meaningless with a virtual NIC.

Therefore, in virtual environment there isn't the first physical layer, besides current behaviour refer to all devices based on virtual environment?

Reminds me of this slide from an older webinar.
