Default Vlan Configuration

Userlevel 1
Hey there,

I'm wondering if the following is suitable for configuring a default vlan of 1:

auto bridge
iface bridge
bridge-vlan-aware yes
bridge vid 1
bridge-stp on

...and if so, do I have to add a statement for all the ports? Or, is it assumed that all ports are in vlan1?

There NOS doesn't add ports to the bridge by default. So you'd add a statement to that vlan aware bridge to add the ports to the bridge.

You may want to use PVID vs. VID for native. Check out some of the comparison configs in this link.

Specifically use the bridge-ports keyword:

bridge-ports swp1 swp2

You can read about the options in the bridging chapter (https://docs.cumulusnetworks.com/display/DOCS/Ethernet+Bridging+-+VLANs#EthernetBridging-VLANs-Creat...)

You're welcome. But Eric had the better idea about the glob keyword.

It sounds like this might be the configuration you're looking for. auto bridge iface bridge bridge-vlan-aware yes bridge-ports glob swp1-48 bridge-vids 1 bridge-pvid 1 bridge-stp on bridge-pvid (native vlan) is set to 1 by default but it's good to add it anyway. All ports are not in a bridge in Cumulus by default.

Thanks!
