Official CumulusVX vmware provider vagrant box... Please?

Would be nice, really, really nice to have an official vmware vagrant box tracking cumulusvx releases.

This might be of use to you until such a thing exists... http://blog.scottlowe.org/2016/05/04/building-vmw-cumulus-vx-box/

Joshua,

It is possible. I will be glad to spin it up and begin working on it, but we currently do not have the tests for it so it will be a community release. Do you have a preference of 2.5.x or 3.y.x?
@Eric I followed the instructions on the blog multiple times, and vagrant failed to bring the box up each time. Vagrant spit out a bunch of ruby garbage that I don't understand. It's why I finally broke down and asked. I would love to hear if someone else made it work so I can compare notes. @scott both if possible. I have a mix of arm, amd and power PC. 3.2 if I have to choose I have a mixed vendor environment and unfortunately need VMware because Cisco biohazard, I mean Virile, or maybe virl. Who knows. I fully place the blame on Cisco for this request. Love what you guys do! Thanks!

Joshua,

Here is the test image for 3.2.0 vmware: https://atlas.hashicorp.com/CumulusCommunity/boxes/cumulus-vx/versions/3.2.0

Thanks Scott!

OK, 2.5.11 vagrant VMware image is live. You may have to add cumulus as an official guest.

To do so, you need to do the following:

cd /opt/vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.9.1/plugins/guests/

CumulusDemo:guests scotts$ sudo cp -R debian cumulus

CumulusDemo:guests scotts$ sudo perl -pi -e 's/debian/cumulus/g; s/Debian/Cumulus/g;' cumulus/guest.rb cumulus/plugin.rb cumulus/cap/configure_networks.rb
